Our streaming current detector automatically controls coagulant feed to a water or wastewater stream. The detector receives an electrical charge signal from a sample of the chemically treated stream. The system continuously monitors the charge density of the treated water flow, compares it to a desired set-point and adjusts a feed pump output to compensate for changes in water characteristics and/or flow rate. Benefits include:
- Automatic coagulant dosing improves operator efficiency
- Reduces costs by optimizing chemical usage
- Helps prevent plant upsets
- High flow, self-cleaning sensor design
- Maintains sample line cleanliness and sensor cell reliability
