Airborne or surface bio-contaminants in a sterility testing lab can contaminate a sample, which can lead to false positives or even the need to halt production. Bioquell provides a range of options to help maintain the reliability and safety of sterility testing, and reduce the risk of false positives.

Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing and Compounding
If surface contaminants find their way into your pharmaceutical production line, patient safety and product quality are at risk. You may even need to stop production until a time-consuming investigation is performed. To help protect your patients, production, and brand reputation, you need a reliable bio-decontamination strategy.
Bioquell bio-decontamination systems help reduce biological surface contaminants in pass-throughs, airlocks, and filling lines. Our automated, validated equipment helps you rest assured that you have reduced bio-contaminants in your facility.
Bio-decontamination Applications

Sterility Testing

Products Areas and Filling Line Equipment
A bio-contamination event can result in a costly delay to your operations. Bioquell bio-decontamination equipment works well with restricted-access barrier systems (RABS), production and filling lines. Bioquell equipment can also be used in spaces with complex surfaces, such as fermentation vessels, where manual disinfection can be challenging.

Pass-through and Material Airlock Bio-decontamination
Spray-and-wipe methods have their place, but are prone to human error. Was every single surface of the pass-through or airlock decontaminated? Bioquell solutions help reduce this doubt by bio-decontaminating all exposed surfaces.

Equipment Bio-decontamination
Our residue-free hydrogen peroxide vapor generators operate over a wide temperature and humidity range for use with incubators, lyophilizers, autoclaves, isolator systems, and restricted-access barrier systems (RABS).

More Information on Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor Systems and Services

About Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor
During a bio-decontamination cycle, Bioquell technology fills an enclosed area with vaporized Bioquell Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant (EPA Reg. No. 72372-1-86703). In just one cycle, this vapor provides a 6-log sporicidal kill on exposed surfaces. Unlike chemical sterilants that can leave toxic residues behind, hydrogen peroxide vapor breaks down into water and oxygen once the bio-decontamination cycle and aeration is complete.

Use on Sensitive Electronics and Equipment
Bioquell Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant (EPA Reg. No. 72372-1-86703) vapor is tough on microbial surface contaminants, but has no ill effects on sensitive electronics. Unlike some spray-and-wipe methods, there are no additional steps to remove residue. When you need to bio-decontaminate spaces that contain hard-to-clean equipment, Bioquell is ideal. Before using Bioquell on your electronic equipment, check with the manufacturers to confirm compatibility.
