Sizing and Functionals

Functionals are chemicals that directly improve properties of the finished paper sheet. They are applied to the paper furnish to improve overall quality of the sheet, as well as also increase the efficiency of the papermaking operation. Internal and surface sizing, HP Indigo print ability, bulking, and brightness technologies are some but not all of the types of technologies that Nalco Water provides under the functionals feature around the paper machine.
